Soprano Pop Singer? Is it possible?
My choir director says I should sing soprano because I clearly am one. I really want to have a singing career. but all the pop and rock and really good singers out there today are alto. If you can tell me one really good popular teen band or singer that sings soprano good that good be great. Ugh. I want to sing but not frigging gospel music.
My favorite singers are all alto .
Paramore's Hailey Williams
Miley Cyrus (hate her but the climb its amazing)
Carrie Underwood
Taylor Swift (basically ANYTHING country)
It doesn't matter if you are alto or soprano because it basically depends on the tone of your voice. Breathing is very important and then vocal capacity and range. What's wrong with gospel =[?

You should try to be yourself and be unique when you sing because that makes you stand out and in the music industry that's a must! You also must have good social skills so you can build up your social networks of different bands etc, i know it's obvious but the ability to sing in front of others - many people have this problem even though they want to be musician.
